Welcome to this weeks Fishing Report from Rainbow Beach where there has been little offshore activity this week. After a couple of wonderful weeks of perfect weather, we are back to the Southeasters and at present we have a Strong wind warning current. Hopefully by Friday or Saturday we will be back offshore as wind & swell abates.
Just the 2 trips since our last report with last Saturday our toughest for a while. Offshore the current was quite strong so we fished some of the closer reefs. Snapper proved elusive, with no Squire at all last Saturday. Pearl Perch made up for that. Other species landed over the 2 days included Parrot, Moses Perch, Hussar, Coral Trout, Amberjack, Maori Cod, Longtail Tuna and Gold Spot Cod.
Finally, who wants another 3 years like we have had on the Political Fishing front? We have protected our livelihoods by getting the Fraser Island AFFA suspended. How many hours were given up by so many to fight this? Now we have our chance on Saturday to protect our Fishing Rights. Tony Abbot has suspended all Marine Park Authority's if elected. This is our one and only chance, so all Fisho's make your vote count LNP.
