We have done about 5 trips for the week and mostly in ideal conditions. Most days we have returned with a good catch, with the odd tough day. Our main catch has been Squire and Frying Pan Snapper, with a lot of Maori and Gold spot Cod.
We have now started to get good catches of Dolphin fish and they are scattered throughout the closer reefs. Other species to make up the catch include Parrot, Moses Perch, Cobia, Sweetlip and Hussar. Mud Crabs are still being taken throughout the Straits and undersize Spotty Mackerel have made an appearance at Inskip Pt.
Till next week, Good fishing.
