We haven't been offshore since Monday and our next trip is not till Saturday.
Our last trip was a visit to the North East reefs where in difficult conditions
with a South to North current we managed a nice catch of Snappery Squire.
Other species to make up the catch included Pearl Perch, Parrot,Maori Cod,
Sweetlip, Hussar, Moses Perch and a huge Longtom of about 120cms.
We only picked up the odd Mackerel early but by reports they are increasing in No,s
so a good season may be on the cards.
With more good rain over the next couple of days it then looks like the weekend
weather could be good for boating.
Till next week- Good Fishing,
