Fishing Report Aug 8, 2013
/Well its once again time for the Fishing report from Rainbow Beach.
Just the 3 trips this week as last Friday was cancelled due to weather and this Friday will probably be cancelled as well.
Last Saturday we fished wide for a good catch of Snapper, Pearl Perch, Parrot, Moses Perch & Hussar.
Sunday & Monday were more difficult as we found the current had picked up on the wider grounds.
We had to try closer marks but couldn't manage any Snapper, only Squire and Frying Pan Snapper. Other species to make up the catch included Pearl Perch,
Parrot, Moses Perch, Maori Cod, Sweetlip, the odd Gold band snapper and on Monday we hit a patch of Trag Jew.
The weather looks OK for the weekend, we are just hoping the forecast swell remains well offshore.
